Talent is helpful in writing, but guts are absolutely essential.–Jessamyn West
According to Wikipedia,
The word “gumption” is from a Scots word denoting a combination of common sense, shrewdness, and a sense of initiative.
Talent without boldness, spunk, and nerve is dead. If you have talent with all those things, the world is your oyster.
