All roads lead to Rome.
I heard Bethenny Frankel say this on a talk show rerun this morning. (Thank you OWN for bringing The Nate Berkus Show back into my life. After being subjected to Steve Harvey’s TV talk mess, I apologize for talking trash about this show.) She was giving advice to female entrepreneurs, and this gem came out of her mouth.
It doesn’t matter the road that is taken. It doesn’t matter when you start. When you follow your dream and your passion, the road will take you somewhere closer to what your heart has declared.
But as Frankel said later, you need a nethodicsl plan.
I go even further you need to plan, but you have to have the courage to take one small step on that road. One day, one small step. Then the next day, the next small step. And then another. And another.
You don’t ease on down that road without some motion on your part. The road may lead to Rome, the promised land, Nitvava, or Detroit. But you won’t ever get there unless you move.
Intentions are good. But the road to hell is paved with good intentions. You can have intentions and never start. You can have vision board, but if you don’t believe, haven’t changed your thoughts or habits or make concrete steps, it’s in vain.
Lead me from the unreal to the real. All you need to get from ethereal, hazy dreams to concrete, reality is one small step.
