Wish me luck.
Let me brush the dust off my blog. I apologize to the one reader I have (hi, Mom) for my sluttiness regarding this blog. (And that’s slutiness in the original sense of the word, thank you very much.)
I’ve been messy and sporadic with my upkeep. Mea culpa.
But I’m back now.
It’s November. The leaves are turning, and I have a large bowl of candy in my house–leftovers from the phantom trick-or-treaters I thought I would have. October 31 ended at 11:59 p.m., and at 12:01 I celebrated the fresh start to November by writing.
I’m doing NaNoWriMo and NaBloPoMo this year. What does that mean (besides I am swimming in acronym-murky waters)? I am to write a 50,000 word novel in one month and post once a day on my blog.
Crazy, right? It is. And I’m at a crazy enough spot in my life to do it.
I am going to give this the best shot I can…considering that I am still on the mend, have mad deadlines, am consuming large quantities of student papers that languished in my inbox for weeks, am dog-sitting and doing a new job. Life is happening, and I’m trying to carve out some time for writing and being creative.
